The Wood awl rounds out our selection. The awl itself is crafted from a single piece of wood, with a metal base securely fastened to the wood, eliminating the risk of accidental breakage. Wood is often used to make various tools; this material is easy to work, inexpensive, and beautiful. An awl makes straightening tobacco much easier. Tongs are typically used for this purpose, but due to their width, they can't straighten the tobacco, causing some to stick to the metal. Fortunately, this won't happen with an awl. If you're a perfectionist and need everything to be perfect, an awl is your salvation.
